The SCCE Basic Compliance and Ethics Academy

by Roxane Marenberg

A member-based association for regulatory compliance professionals, the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) provides training, networking, and certification to more than 4,500 members across the United States. The SCCE delivers its educational services through programs such as the Basic Compliance and Ethics Academy, a three-and-a-half-day program that concentrates on important subject areas within compliance. Designed specifically for individuals with professional experience in the compliance field and a fundamental understanding of compliance concepts, the Basic Compliance and Ethics Academy represents an ideal preparation course for the Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional, or CCEP, exam.
Participants in the academy learn about the standards, policies, and procedures most crucial to the practice of compliance. In addition to studying compliance and ethics program administration, participants explore risk assessment, response and investigation, and internal reporting systems. The SCCE holds Basic Compliance and Ethics Academy sessions at least once per month, in locations throughout the world.
